The performance installation responds to the architectural features of the Udinese Bunker. It is emphasising its original function, exploring the conflicting themes of war, protection, shelter and fear of the known. Along with one of the various corridors inside the bunker, the artist's body gradually hidden by the growing dimension of the 8ft Balloon, Inflated by an electric pump held by the artist. The slow expansion of the Balloon temporarily obstructs the entrance and exit from the bunker to all visitors. The Balloon inflated until its intentionally burst.
